Home of both nobility and the common people, this sprawling city has much to offer the adventurer, with its market place, magic shops, armorers and bordellos. However, one cannot let one's eye rest on a single place for too long, lest a back alley brawler or thief cut one's purse strings, or one's throat.

The underground city the dwarves live beneath. Here your heritage and gender have far more an influence then anything one could possibly do. In this city, lava is prominant and paragons decorate the entry way. Only dwarves and grey wardens are allowed.

Mages are rounded up at young ages and shipped to circles around the land. Phylactories filled with their blood play a role in keeping them captive. Here they are trained to resist demons, and are often turned into Tranquil zombies for blood magic, trying to escape, trying to contact others on the outside of the circle and even for failing the test they administer to see if the mage would fall for demon tricks.

Underground sewers of Kirkwall, it's a hive of criminal activity and disease is common and deadly due to the lack of interest from Kirkwall and living in poor conditions.
